Truro City: Steve Tully 'frustrated' by Frome Town defeat

Frome Town moved out of the bottom three after their win over Truro City

Truro City boss Steve Tully was left shaking his head in disbelief after his side lost 1-0 to nine-man Frome Town.

The defeat ended a run of five successive wins for the White Tigers, which had taken them up to third in the Southern Premier League.

"We had a very frustrating day," Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"They had a player sent off early in the first half and we gave them a goal from a goalkeeping mistake. They had one shot on target all game."

He continued: "We dominated the possession in the second half, they had another player sent off, so they were down to nine men, so it was attack versus defence and it wasn't our day."

Tully started the game but came off after 42 minutes and the result left City in third place in the division, five points behind leaders Poole Town, who have five games in hand on Tully's men.

"It's time to sit down and reflect, re-evaluate and we go again," he added.

"There's 12 games to go, 12 cup finals and all to play for."
