Luke Guttridge's goal helped Luton to close the gap on the League Two leaders.

Luton gained ground on League Two's top three in a comfortable win over Accrington.

The visitors had enjoyed the better of the first half, but were unable to take their chances before Jayden Stockley headed in Luke Guttridge's corner.

Accrington survived a penalty appeal when Elliot Lee went down in the box, but were unable to stop Guttridge doubling the lead from close range.

Luton are now just two points off the automatic promotion places.

Luton manager John Still told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"It was a tough first-half, their shape put us out a little bit if I'm honest. We had to change and get ourselves sorted out better, which we did.

"To be where we are at the moment is great credit to the players. We're right on it, we'll go to the wire and fortunately with players coming back from injury we're going to get stronger."

On Mark Cullen's transfer speculation: "Mark came to us and said 'I don't know if what I said was misinterpreted, if there's interest in me I'd like to look into it.

"Which I understand. He's a young man. Mark was big enough to stand up and say that maybe it didn't come out how he wanted it to come out."
