Dagenham & Redbridge 2-0 Hartlepool United

  • Published

Billy Bingham struck a spectacular goal as Dagenham eased their relegation worries against bottom club Hartlepool.

Bingham curled a left-footed free-kick into the top corner to seal victory midway through the second half.

The Daggers went in front when Ashley Hemmings' cross was sliced into his own net by Scott Harrison.

Pools had begun well as Jack Compton's volley was deflected over, but they faded even though Daggers keeper Mark Cousins was forced off with injury.

Dagenham are now six points clear of the bottom two, while Hartlepool remain rooted to the bottom after a 13th away defeat of the season.
