Cambridge United 0-3 York City

York grabbed a vital three points with a comfortable win away at Cambridge.

Wes Fletcher pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the box and drilled a powerful shot beyond goalkeeper Chris Dunn as York took control.

Michael Coulson doubled the lead when his deep cross evaded everyone and somehow dropped into the far corner of the net, as Cambridge toiled.

Jake Hyde completed the scoring when he diverted Fletcher's shot past Dunn from inside the six-yard box.

York are now two points above the League Two relegation zone, while Cambridge remain 16th.

York City manager Russ Wilcox told BBC Radio York:

"It was near perfect. I thought we got everything spot on tonight.

"The game plan was good. We know they're a big team, so stopping them getting set plays was the key and that's what we did.

"We're not going to carried away. There's still a lot of work to do."
