James Chester has won five caps for Wales

Wales have received a boost ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifier in Israel with the news that James Chester is close to a return to fitness.

The Hull City centre-back dislocated a shoulder in January and was expected to be out until April.

But the 26-year-old could return for Hull's game with Premier League leaders Chelsea on 22 March - six days before Wales' match in Haifa.

Chester has played every minute of Wales' qualifying games so far.

Israel top Group B having won all three of their games so far, while Wales are a point behind in second with two wins and two draws from their four games.
