- Published
France will host the 2019 Women's World Cup, football's governing body Fifa has announced.
Fifa officials unanimously backed the bid ahead of rival South Korea.
England had been one of five countries in the running to host the tournament before the shortlist was narrowed to two in October.
The Women's World Cup has been held every four years since 1991. The 2015 tournament takes place in Canada this summer.
