Swansea City's Wales international defender Neil Taylor says he will have contract talks with manager Garry Monk at the end of this season.

Taylor's contract runs until May 2016, and he is a target for other Premier League clubs and Real Sociedad.

The left-back, 26, was the subject of a bid from Crystal Palace as well as interest from West Brom in January.

"The season is close to an end so it's something that will be looked at then," said Taylor.

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has said the situation is "an obvious one for us to sort out",, external but Taylor has attracted interest from a number of clubs.

As Taylor is out of contract at the end of next season, he would be eligible to join a foreign club for free on a pre-contract agreement in January 2016.

That has prompted interest from Spanish side Real Sociedad, who are managed by former Manchester United boss David Moyes.

Moyes tried to sign Taylor when he was in charge of Everton, and could face competition from up to six Premier League clubs for the left-back's signature.

West Brom, Aston Villa and Newcastle are understood to be among the top-flight teams monitoring Taylor's situation.

Taylor enjoyed a meteoric rise after joining Swansea from Wrexham, helping the Swans gain promotion to the Premier League and establishing himself in the national team.

But he suffered a broken ankle at the start of the 2012-13 season, and during his enforced absence Ben Davies established himself at left-back for the Swans and Wales.

However, Davies' departure to Tottenham in the summer of 2014 has allowed Taylor to re-establish himself at Swansea, and he has been consistently selected ahead of Davies by Wales manager Chris Coleman.
