Peterborough United 0-0 Walsall

Peterborough's hopes of a League One play-off place took a blow as they were held to a goalless draw by Walsall.

David Norris had the best attempt of the first half as he forced Walsall keeper Richard O'Donnell into a save.

Harry Anderson and Luke James were denied by O'Donnell after the break, while Michael Cain shot narrowly wide for the Saddlers late on.

Walsall are two points above the drop zone and have not scored in four games, while Posh have one goal in that time.

Dean Smith's Saddlers, who have not won now in over a month, have taken part in two goalless draws over the Easter weekend, but have climbed a place to 15th.

Peterborough, still under caretaker boss Dave Robinson, stand 10th, now six points adrift of the play-off places.
