Karen Bardsley banned for three games after punch-up charge

England and Manchester City Ladies goalkeeper Karen Bardsley has accepted her FA charge of violent conduct and will serve a three-match ban.

Footage showed Bardsley and Birmingham City forward Freda Ayisi exchanging punches during their Women's Super League match on Sunday.

Barsdley, who later apologised for the incident, will miss league matches against Sunderland and Arsenal and the FA Cup quarter final with Birmingham.

Ayisi was sent off in the 0-0 draw.

An FA statement, external said the match officials did not see what happened but it was caught on video.
