The New Saints manager Craig Harrison says he is flattered to have been linked with the vacant managerial position at Wrexham.
Harrison, 37, is one of the favourites to take over at the Racecourse following Kevin Wilkin's dismissal.
Harrison worked with Wrexham's first team coach Carl Darlington at TNS.
"I'm an ambitious manager... and I'm looking to further my career. But at the moment I'm under contract as TNS manager," Harrison told BBC Wales.
"People are putting two and two together because myself and Carl have worked together before and were very successful at TNS."
Wilkin was sacked a day after Wrexham lost to North Ferriby United on penalties in the FA Trophy Final,
The former Nuneaton boss had been in charge of the Conference club for a year after succeeding Andy Morrell.
The Dragons have invited interested applicants to send their CVs to the club, and Harrison is among the favourites for the job.
He has led TNS to four Welsh Premier League titles, two Welsh Cups and a Word Cup since his appointment in 2011.
A former Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and Preston North End defender, Harrison was previously in charge of Airbus UK Broughton.
During his time at TNS, Harrison worked with Wrexham's first team coach Darlington, who moved to the Racecourse in December and took charge of the Dragons' game against Dover on Tuesday.
