Tenovus Welsh Cup: Newtown beat Rhyl to reach final

Newtown secured their place in the Welsh Cup final for the first time since 1897 after a 2-1 semi-final win over Rhyl.

Ryan Astles put Rhyl ahead after three minutes at Cefn Druids' The Rock ground.

But second half goals from Jason Oswell and Matty Owen saw Chris Hughes's side secure their place in the final.

They will face either The New Saints of Airbus UK Broughton, who play in the second semi-final on Sunday.
