Yeovil Town 1-2 Port Vale
- Published
A late Michael Brown goal secured League One survival for Port Vale and consigned Paul Sturrock to his first defeat as Yeovil Town boss.
Tom Pope thought he had given the visitors the lead but his header was ruled out for a foul on Liam Shephard.
But Pope was on hand minutes later to link up with Ben Williamson before scoring his 12th goal of the season.
Gozie Ugwu levelled with a shot on the turn but Vale's Brown scored the winner from Michael O'Connor's free-kick.
Vale are now safe, four points clear of the bottom four, as Crawley and Leyton Orient failed to win.
