Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis will return from a hamstring injury to face Arsenal on Monday.

The French international, 29, has been sidelined since he limped off early in the 1-1 draw with Everton on 11 April.

"He is looking fit and sharp. He will definitely be involved in the squad," said Swansea manager Garry Monk.

But Swans forward Nelson Oliviera, on a season-long loan from Benfica, will miss the last three games of the campaign with an ankle injury.

Portuguese international Oliveira, 23, was taken off during Swansea's 2-0 win against Stoke on 2 May.

Victory strengthened the Swans' hold on eighth place in the Premier League table ahead of Monday's trip to Arsenal.

They are six points above ninth placed West Ham and four behind seventh placed Southampton.

Monk admitted after the Stoke game that Oliveira's injury left Swansea "thin on the ground", making Gomis' return to fitness a timely one.

"He [Gomis] has come back, it's three or four weeks which is not too long a period, so he would not have lost too much fitness," added Monk.

"We will assess Bafe as the week goes on and that decision will come more towards the game whether he starts."
