Striker Andy Bishop has been released by Wrexham.

The 32-year-old former Bury player scored 15 goals this season and is one of several senior players to leave including captain Dean Keates and defender Neil Ashton.

Wrexham manager Gary Mills has unveiled a new recruit though, with Javan Vidal joining the Conference club.

The 26-year-old attacking full-back is a former England Under-20 international and joins from Tamworth.

Bishop's release brings Wrexham's outs up to nine following the departures of Elliott Durrell, Neil Ashton, Dean Keates, Kyle Storer, Theo Bailey-Jones, Nick Rushton, Anthony Stephens and Ross Weaver.
