Wrexham: Gary Mills releases four players as rebuilding begins

Gary Mills' Gateshead side missed out on the Conference play-offs in the 2014-15 season

New Wrexham manager Gary Mills has released four players as he starts building for his first Conference campaign at the Racecourse.

Theo Bailey-Jones, Nick Rushton, Anthony Stephens and Ross Weaver are all free to look for new clubs., external

Mills has offered contracts to Andy Coughlin, Louis Gray, Connor Jennings, Jonathan Royle and Sean Smith.

The former Gateshead boss Mills took over at the end of a season which saw Wrexham finish 11th in the table.

Wrexham players currently contracted for 2015/16:

Mark Carrington, Robbie Evans, Blaine Hudson, Louis Moult, Manny Smith, Steve Tomassen, Luke Waterfall, Ross White, Wes York.

Previous manager Kevin Wilkin was sacked by the Dragons in March, with Carl Darlington guiding the team for the remainder of the season.

The club have made offers of first year professional contracts to Iwan Cartwright (midfielder), Jake Doran (defender), Danny Reynolds (forward), Aaron Simpson (defender) and Joe Williams (forward).

Neil Ashton, Andy Bishop, Joe Clarke, Elliott Durrell, Jay Harris, Dean Keates and Kyle Storer are still to confirm their futures with the club.
