Tom Davies: Accrington Stanley sign Fleetwood defender

Accrington Stanley have signed defender Tom Davies on a one-year deal after his release by Fleetwood Town.

The 23-year-old joined the Cod Army in March 2014 from FC United of Manchester but failed to make an appearance for the Lancashire side.

He had loan spells in the Conference at Alfreton and Southport last season, making 19 appearances.

"As soon as I heard Accrington was an option it was what I wanted to do," he told the club website.

Meanwhile Fleetwood have completed the signing of young striker Eddie Dsane following his departure from Preston.
