Wrexham have made their seventh signing of the summer with centre half Jamal Fyfield joining on a one-year contract.
The 26-year-old made over 30 appearances for Welling United in the Conference last season.
Fyfield played under Wrexham manager Gary Mills at York City, where he won the FA Trophy and gained promotion to League Two in 2012.
"I've always looked on Wrexham as a big club," Fyfield said.
"The ground is beautiful and I've also seen the training ground, which is great. It's got everything I need.
"Obviously I've played under the gaffer before at York City, so I was hoping he might give my phone a ring and I was happy that he did. "
Fyfield started as an apprentice at Leyton Orient and played for Maidenhead United before joining York City in 2010.
After four years at Bootham Crescent he had a spell at Grimsby Town before spending last season with Welling.
Forward Connor Jennings has extended his stay with Wrexham, signing a new one-year deal.
"I have really enjoyed my first year at Wrexham," Jennings said.
"So there was never any doubt that I was going to return, as long as the club wanted me."
