Joe Hart praises Man City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak

Joe Hart kept 14 clean sheets in the Premier League for Manchester City in 2014-15

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart says the club is "really going places" under chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak.

Emirati businessman Al Mubarak said leading players now want to join City for more than just money.

"He's been a great chairman, I put all my trust in him as a player," said Hart, 28, ahead of England's Euro 2016 qualifier with Slovenia on Sunday.

"I'm coming into my peak as a player and I want to be at Manchester City because of the desires the club has."

Al Mubarak believes City now have the infrastructure to lure leading players to the Etihad Stadium.

"It's kind of what we expect," added Hart, who signed a new contract last December to stay at City until 2019.

"I think the club are really going places."

Hart said England are determined to take a huge step towards qualifying for Euro 2016, which will be held in France next summer, by winning away at Slovenia on Sunday.

The game on 14 June takes place one year after England opened their disappointing 2014 World Cup campaign with a 2-1 defeat against Italy.

Asked how much England had progressed since last summer, Hart said: "We've made as much progress as is possible.

"The nature of qualifying is that it's not to the level of a group stage of a World Cup but we've done the minimum.

"We've made strides, we're building a team and ethos and hopefully we can get as many qualifying wins to get to France as soon as possible."

England captain Wayne Rooney, 29, is three goals away from becoming England's leading goalscorer of all-time.

The Manchester United forward heads to Slovenia on 47 goals, two behind the record held by Sir Bobby Charlton.

"We know Wayne will get there," added Hart. "He's our captain, our leader, our talisman."
