Portsmouth have added a midfielder and striker to their squad as Pompey boss Paul Cook brings his total number of summer signings up to six.
Burton Albion striker Adam McGurk has signed a two-year contract at Fratton Park, as has midfielder Adam Barton, following his release by Coventry City.
McGurk, 26, hit seven goals in 41 games (including one against Pompey) to help Burton to the League Two title.
Northern Ireland international Barton spent three years at Coventry.
He spent the first four seasons of his professional career at Preston before being signed for the Sky Blues by Andy Thorn in August 2012.
Northern Ireland Under-21 international McGurk came through Aston Villa's youth system before moving to non-league Hednesford and then Tranmere Rovers.
He joined Burton in August 2013, scoring 19 goals in 83 games during his two years at the club.
"What attracted me was the size of the club and the large crowds that watch the games," he told the club website., external
