Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis says the League One club are ready to listen to offers for young winger Ryan Colclough, following his continued reluctance to sign a new contract.

The 20-year-old Crewe Academy product was offered a new deal last season.

"The offer's been there for a long time now. We've done all we can from our side," Davis told BBC Radio Stoke.

Ryan Colclough's Crewe credentials

Colclough made his debut for Crewe as a 17-year-old in September 2012, since when he has scored five goals in 38 first team appearances, 23 of which have been from the bench.

"We'll listen to anybody. If someone wants to buy him we'll listen to them but nobody's come in with any offer."

As he is under 24, Crewe would still receive a compensation fee if he was to move elsewhere but, in the meantime he remains part of the payroll at Gresty Road.

Meanwhile, Davis fears his bid to bring left-back Greg Leigh back to the Alex has come to a halt - over wages.

Davis had hoped to sign Leigh, who made 42 appearances while on loan last season, following his release by Manchester City. But the 19-year-old's wage demands have so far proved well out of Crewe's reach.

"We can't afford what Man City paid Greg. We have to be realistic with that," Davis added. "What we can do is give him the opportunity to play. I've stressed that to Greg's agent, but I've heard nothing back."
