Sheffield Wednesday: Loovens stays and Sasso arrives on loan
- Published
Sheffield Wednesday defender Glenn Loovens has signed a one-year deal and Braga defender Vincent Sasso has joined the club on a season-long loan deal.
Loovens, 31, joined the Owls in November 2013 and has made 48 league appearances for the Championship side.
The Dutchman helped Wednesday keep 17 clean sheets last season, equalling the record they set in the 1978-79 season.
Meanwhile, Frenchman Sasso, 24, has also been with Nantes and SC Beira Mar and is a central defender or full-back.
Wednesday are still without a head coach after sacking Stuart Gray earlier this month.
