Guernsey are through to the final of the Island Games football, beating 10-man Menorca 2-1 after extra time.
Tom de la Mare's header after 113 minutes guaranteed Guernsey at least a silver medal.
Izan Canet gave the Spaniards, who had Victor Lebrero sent off during half-time, a 54th-minute lead as he turned home Marc Urbina's shot.
But Ryan-Zico Black equalised 12 minutes later as he turned in Ross Allen's deflected free-kick.
Lebrero was dismissed having aimed a headbutt at the face of Marc McGrath.
"We didn't play as well as we could at times, but we dug out the result and we're into the final," Guernsey manager Steve Sharman told BBC Sport.
"We were very poor at times in possession and very poor in our decision making. But we came here to make the final, we've done that and we've got one more step to go.
Jersey into Friday's gold medal match
Jersey's women are into the final of the Island Games football, coming from behind early on to beat Gotland 3-1 in the last four at Le Couvent.
Viktoria Nygren's superb dipping free-kick put Gotland ahead, but Eve Watson's header pulled the hosts level.
Catarina Andrade netted from close range just after the half-hour before Libby Barnett's penalty made it 3-1 before half-time.
Jersey will face Aland in Friday morning's final at Springfield.
