Adam Buxton scored one goal in 19 appearances for Accrington Stanley last season

Accrington Stanley defender Adam Buxton has signed a new one-year deal with the League Two club.

Buxton, 23, was out of contract with Accrington, having signed from Wigan in July 2014 on a year-long deal following an initial loan spell.

The full-back made 19 appearances for Stanley last season after recovering from a serious leg infection.

"I'm hoping that I can get fit, have a good pre-season and have a successful season," he told the club's website., external
