Partick Thistle have signed Gary Miller, the defender having been released by Scottish Premiership rivals St Johnstone.

The Glasgow-born 28-year-old, who has been at McDiarmid Park since 2012, has agreed a one-year contract.

He becomes the fourth summer addition to manager Alan Archibald's squad.

Miller began his career with Livingston and spent time on loan with Ayr United and Ross County before moving to Dingwall permanently in 2009.

He made 25 appearances for Saints last season but was not offered a new contract and has been training with Thistle during pre-season training.

Thistle have already signed goalkeeper Tomas Cerny and Callum Booth after their release by Hibernian, while midfielder David Amoo arrived after exiting Carlisle United.
