Danny Guthrie: Blackburn sign former Reading midfielder

Danny Guthrie made 15 appearances in the Championship last season

Blackburn have signed midfielder Danny Guthrie on a two-year contract after his release by Reading.

The 28-year-old, who began his career at Liverpool, has been on trial with Rovers during pre-season.

Guthrie has also spent time at Southampton, Bolton, Newcastle and finished last season on loan at Fulham.

He is manager Gary Bowyer's third free-transfer signing ahead of the new Championship season, following Sacha Petshi and Bengali-Fode Koita.
