Former Southend and Peterborough midfielder Kane Ferdinand has joined Dagenham and Redbridge on an initial one-month deal.
The 22-year-old has been on trial at the club, playing in four pre-season friendlies and scoring one goal.
Ferdinand, a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, was released by Peterborough at the end of last season.
He made 16 appearances in League Two last season while on loan with Cheltenham Town.
Meanwhile, midfielder Nicholas Hamalainen, 18, has also joined Dagenham on a one-month youth loan from QPR.
