Sunderland winger Adam Johnson will be out for at least two months after injuring his shoulder in training.

Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat said the England international will have a scan on Wednesday to establish the full extent of the "serious" injury.

Johnson played in Saturday's 4-2 defeat at Leicester on the opening day of the Premier League season.

The 28-year-old is on bail pending a trial on charges of sexual activity with an underage girl, which he denies.
