Premier League predictions: Lawro v comedian Jack Whitehall
- Published
BBC Sport's football expert Mark Lawrenson is pitting his wits against a different guest each week this season.
Lawro's opponent for this weekend's Premier League fixtures is actor and comedian Jack Whitehall.
Whitehall, star of the new Bad Education movie, is an Arsenal fan who is backing his side to beat Liverpool on Monday, although he thinks the title is beyond the Gunners.
"Our defeat by West Ham gave us a reality check," he explained. "I think we can challenge but I am hoping for an implosion in the last two weeks of the season rather than in February - That is the level of an Arsenal fan's optimism at the moment."
You can make your predictions now, compare them to Lawro and other fans and try to take your team to the top of the leaderboard by playing the new BBC Sport Predictor game.
Whitehall has been watching Arsenal since he was a boy and told BBC Sport: "My favourite match was when I went to Highbury in 1997 and watched Ian Wright break the club's all-time goalscoring record against Bolton.
"It was an amazing atmosphere. I waited behind afterwards and didn't exactly get to meet him but he sort walked past me and that was enough, he was such a hero of mine."

Our scoring system has changed this season and a correct result (picking a win, draw or defeat) is now worth 10 points. The exact score earns 40 points.
Last weekend, Lawro got four correct results from 10 Premier League games, with no perfect scores.
His score of 40 points saw him beaten by BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Mark Radcliffe, who picked five correct results to give him a total score of 50.
The Premier League team top of the Predictor leaderboard after week two is Leicester, with an average total score of 131 points, while the 16-24 age-group has the highest average total score of 119 points.
We are keeping a record of the totals for Lawro and his guests (below), and showing a table of how the Premier League would look if all of Lawro's predictions were correct (at the bottom of the page).

MONDAY
Arsenal v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
I was at Anfield on Monday and you could call Liverpool's formation in their win against Bournemouth either 4-5-1, 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
Basically, the way they are set up is that they have five men back working in midfield when they need them to be.
Because of that, Brendan Rodgers' side look a little bit harder to play against this season, and it has taken a bit away from their attack.
But they have won both their games so far without conceding a goal, and keeping things tight is not a bad idea when you go to Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal got back on track with their win over Crystal Palace, but I am not expecting a very open or entertaining game here.
Both teams can be very narrow and I am expecting to see the majority of this game fought out in midfield.
Lawro's prediction: 1-1
Jack's prediction: I don't want to jinx this. I am confident we are going to win but we are definitely going to concede a goal. Oh, and Alexis Sanchez will score the winner. I know I don't have to give that extra bit of information but that's what I think will happen. 2-1
Lawro was speaking to BBC Sport's Chris Bevan.
