Freddie Sears has signed a new contract which will keep him at Championship club Ipswich Town until at least 2019, with an option for an extra year.

The striker signed for the Tractor Boys from League One side Colchester for an undisclosed fee in January.

The former West Ham front man, 24, has since scored 10 goals in 26 appearances for Mick McCarthy's team.

Former England Under-21 international Sears had two years left to run on his previous contract.
