Gozie Ugwu: Wycombe Wanderers sign ex-Yeovil striker

Gozie Ugwu spent time on trial at Northampton Town during pre-season this summer

Wycombe Wanderers have signed striker Gozie Ugwu until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old former Reading trainee was a free agent and had recently been training with the Chairboys.

"Gozie is an exciting striker who I've had my eye on for some time. I'm delighted to have him on board," boss Gareth Ainsworth told the club website.

Ugwu, who also previously had spells at Ebbsfleet United, Plymouth Argyle, Shrewsbury Town and Dunfermline, spent time at Yeovil Town last term.
