Johnny Russell: Derby County forward signs new contract

Johnny Russell has played in all eight of Derby's matches so far this season, scoring two goals

Forward Johnny Russell has signed a new contract which will keep him at Derby County until the summer of 2018.

The 25-year-old Scotland international joined in the summer of 2013 and has played 97 games, scoring 19 goals.

Head coach Paul Clement told the club website: "Johnny has had a very good start to the season and he has earned his new deal.

"He continually shows a willingness to learn and improve and is a popular member of the dressing room,"

Russell moved to the Rams from Dundee United and has three full caps for Scotland.
