Midfielder Darren Fletcher trained with the rest of the Scotland squad on Monday before Thursday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Poland at Hampden.

The West Bromwich Albion player picked up a knock at the weekend.

Watford winger Ikechi Anya and West Brom midfielder James Morrison, who is suspended, sat out the session after weekend injuries.

Norwich midfielder Graham Dorrans has been called up following the withdrawal of Wolves' Kevin McDonald.

Celtic's Charlie Mulgrew will also miss the Poland game and Sunday's campaign-ending tie away to Gibraltar.

The player, who can operate in defence or midfield, has missed the last six matches for his club with a thigh problem and Scotland assistant manager Mark McGhee has confirmed he will be unavailable.

Scotland can at best finish third in Group D. Defeat by Poland would end their chances of reaching the finals in France.

If they draw, they must hope Germany beat the Republic of Ireland to keep alive their hopes of a play-off place going into the final qualifier against Gibraltar in Portugal on Sunday.

Anya picked up a muscle strain on Saturday, while Morrison, who is eligible to play against Gibraltar in the Algarve, went off with an ankle problem against Crystal Palace.

There was better news for Scotland manager Gordon Strachan with several of his squad finding their scoring touch over the weekend.

Leigh Griffiths headed in his 12th goal of the season in Celtic's 2-1 win at Hamilton.

Steven Fletcher opened the scoring as struggling Sunderland were held to a 2-2 draw at home to West Ham in the English Premier League.

In the Championship, Jordan Rhodes found the net twice in four minutes as Blackburn Rovers beat Ipswich Town 2-0 and Derby's Chris Martin was on target in a 2-0 win over Brentford.
