Eoin Bradley grabbed a hat-trick as Glenavon beat Ballymena 3-1 at Mourneview Park

Striker Eoin Bradley scored a hat-trick as Glenavon came from behind to beat Ballymena 3-1 at Mourneview Park.

David Cushley nodded the visitors into a 12th-minute lead with Bradley equalising just before half-time.

Home keeper Jonathan Tuffey made a superb save from a Cushley penalty after Andrew Kilmartin's hand-ball.

Bradley headed in from an Andy Hall corner in the 82nd minute and completed his hat-trick with another header after seeing his penalty saved.

The spot-kick, awarded for handling by United defender Tony Kane, was stopped by home keeper Andy Coleman, but Bradley was first to the rebound and nodded in.

What they said

Glenavon's Eoin Bradley: "Jonny Tuffey kept us in the game - he is probably the best keeper in the league.

"Ballymena's heads went down when they missed their penalty. It was well struck and how Jonny got to it I don't know.

"We got a boost from that and went on to get the three points."
