A second-half penalty from Allan Jenkins earned Ballymena a Premiership win over the Mallards at Ferney Park.

Mark Magennis and Jenkins wasted early openings for the visitors while Ballinamallard also missed out when Steve Feeney put his effort wide.

Feeney saw his shot cleared off the line in the second half after keeper Stefan McCusker denied David Cushley.

Liam McMenamin's foul on Cushley resulted in the 70th minute penalty which Jenkins calmly converted.

The win takes the Sky Blues above the Mallards and three points clear of the Fermanagh side.
