Call offs in SPFL and Scottish Cup due to adverse weather

Raith Rovers' match against Rangers was called off after a second inspection

Twelve league and cup matches have been postponed as heavy rain and high winds sweep across Scotland.

Three Premiership fixtures are off: Celtic v Hamilton Academical,Hearts v Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Partick Thistle v Motherwell.

Alloa v Dumbarton is the only game to survive in the Championship, with Morton v Hibs called off at 12:30 GMT.

The Scottish Cup replay between Arbroath and Cowdenbeath was abandoned after 20 minutes.

Also in the cup, Wick v Linlithgow Rose and Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale v Huntly have been rescheduled for Monday, with Annan v Inverurie now playing on Tuesday.

Albion Rovers v Stranraer in League One and East Stirlingshire v Clyde in League Two were also called off.

The Pro12 rugby match between Glasgow Warriors and Leinster has also fallen victim to the dreadful conditions.

The Met Office issued a weather warning for Scotland following Storm Desmond.

Rainfall of between 60mm and 100mm is likely in the amber "be prepared" zones of central and southern Scotland until Sunday morning, and 80 flood warnings and alerts are in place across the region.
