John Still first managed Dagenham & Redbridge in 1992
Ashley Chambers headed the winner against Exeter City to give John Still a triumphant start to his third spell as Dagenham & Redbridge manager.
Joss Labadie nodded the visitors ahead early on, meeting a Ashley Hemmings corner from the right at the back post.
Alex Nicholls tested visiting keeper Mark Cousins, while Chambers and Christian Doidge went close.
Tom Nicols levelled with a header only for Chambers to lift Dagenham out of the relegation places with the winner.

"For an away performance, very, very pleased. Very pleased, it was difficult conditions for both teams.
"That never say die attitude, that team ethic, that everyone playing for the team. I thought it became evident the longer the game went on.
"I think when your confidence is low, to get back-to-back wins is a fantastic thing."
