Leonardo Bonucci put Juventus 2-0 ahead just before half-time
Champions Juventus made it eight Serie A wins in a row as they beat Verona to continue their surge up the table.
Paulo Dybala opened the scoring with a brilliant free-kick, Leonardo Bonucci headed a second and Simone Zaza rounded the goalkeeper for a third.
Juve are three points behind leaders Inter Milan, who beat Empoli 1-0.
Inter are one point clear of Napoli, who beat Torino 2-1, and Fiorentina, who beat Palermo 3-1 with Josip Ilicic scoring twice.
Elsewhere in the afternoon games, Chievo came from 2-0 and 3-2 down to hold Roma 3-3, with Simone Pepe scoring a late equaliser.
AC Milan lost 1-0 to Bologna, with Emanuele Giaccherini - on loan from Sunderland - scoring the only goal.
Lazio were held 0-0 by second-from-bottom Carpi, who are now three points above winless Verona.
Sassuolo drew their game 2-2 with struggling Frosinone.
Earlier on Wednesday - a public holiday in Italy - Udinese beat Atalanta 2-1.
