Eva Carneiro: Ex-Chelsea doctor appears at employment tribunal

Ex-Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has appeared at a tribunal hearing for her constructive dismissal case against the Premier League champions.

She is suing the club for constructive dismissal and breach of contract.

The preliminary hearing, held in private, took place at the London South Employment Tribunal in Croydon.

After the hearing, Mary O'Rourke QC, representing Carneiro, said no settlement had been reached and a date had been fixed for the next hearing.

There is a separate but connected legal claim against former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho for alleged discrimination.

On 30 September the FA clear Mourinho of making discriminatory comments and announce that it will not take any disciplinary action
On 2 October Carneiro says she was not asked to testify by the FA
Lawyers acting for Carneiro serve notice of a claim of constructive dismissal against Chelsea in late October
In early November a separate but connected legal claim is served against Mourinho
Mourinho is sacked as Chelsea manager on 17 December, while the club file their defence against Carneiro's claim
