Neville saw his team waste a good chance late in the match

Paco Alcacer struck a second-half equaliser to rescue a draw for Gary Neville's Valencia in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie.

Neville's team defeated Granada 7-0 on aggregate in the previous round but have yet to win in their six league matches since Neville was appointed.

They fell behind to Las Palmas through a header from Wilfried Zahibo.

Alcacer levelled from outside the box after the break before Alvaro Negredo missed a good chance late on.

The former Manchester City striker failed to connect cleanly with a cross from Jose Luis Gaya.
