Kidderminster Harriers 0-1 Guiseley

  • Published

Guiseley consigned bottom club Kidderminster Harriers to their seventh straight defeat in the National League.

Gavin Rothery almost put the visitors ahead with a powerful close-range strike which went inches over.

Managerless Harriers, led by chief executive Colin Gordon, battled gamelyl, going close when Elton Ngwatala's shot hit the post.

But from a late corner, Liam Dickinson connected with Jake Lawlor's header, volleying Guiseley to victory.

Harriers, 14 points adrift of safety, were playing their first game of 2016 after successive postponements.

Gordon, who also took charge when Gary Whild was sacked in September, was back at the helm for the first time following the sacking of Dave Hockaday on 7 January.
