Stevenage have signed goalkeeper Jamie Jones from Preston North End and made loanee midfielder Lee Cox a permanent signing from Plymouth.

Jones, 26, has been on loan this season at League One club Colchester United, where he made 18 appearances.

Cox, 25, initially joined Teddy Sheringham's side in November and his loan was extended until the end of the season earlier this month.

His contract at Home Park was set to expire in the summer.

Stevenage have not disclosed details of the contracts agreed with either player.
