Woking players and coaches resolve bonus dispute with board

Woking's players and coaches have resolved their dispute over bonus payments with the club's board.

BBC Surrey reported bonuses were only going to be paid if the Cards finished in the top five in the National League.

Woking director of football Geoff Chapple said a meeting between the respective parties on Thursday had ended in "agreement by all".

"I am happy to report the issue of the players' bonus has now been resolved," Chapple added in a statement.

"I would personally like to thank the team management and the players for their time, patience and understanding. As this is a sensitive issue that is now closed, we will not be making any further statements."

BBC Surrey understands the club's financial position, which saw a loss of £437,000 recorded in the last financial year, was a factor in the dispute.

The Cards are currently 10th in the National League table, three points off the play-off places.
