Former Arsenal and France striker Thierry Henry has passed his Uefa A coaching licence.

Henry, a World Cup winner in 1998, has been doing his coaching badges with the Welsh Football Trust.

The 38-year-old studied under the guidance of Wales assistant boss and Football Association of Wales technical director Osian Roberts.

Henry, who also played for Barcelona and Juventus, can now manage below Premier League level.

He will need to complete his Pro Licence to take charge of a top-flight club.

"Massive thank you to Osian Roberts #Osh, @welshfootballtrust and the Arsenal Academy for assisting me to pass my UEFA A Licence coaching badge. #proudday," Henry said on social media.

Henry, who won the European Championship with France 2000, will be part of the BBC team for this summer's Euro 2016 in his home country.
