Stevenage: Chairman Phil Wallace wants new manager by end of season
- Published
Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace says he hopes to appoint a new manager by the end of the season.
Wallace was speaking at a Meet the Chairman event on Tuesday, which came a week after the club confirmed their Football League status with a 0-0 draw against Bristol Rovers.
Darren Sarll has been in caretaker charge of Boro since Teddy Sheringham was sacked in February.
Stevenage face AFC Wimbledon and Accrington in their final two games.
Sarll has won five of his 15 matches in charge of the club, who are currently 19th in League Two.
He came in after a run in which the side took just three points from a possible 24, and said following the game against Rovers that this poor campaign cannot be repeated.
