Ipswich Town midfielder Luke Hyam has signed a new two-year contract, with an option for a further 12 months.

The 24-year-old made 17 appearances for Mick McCarthy's side this term after a brief loan spell at Rotherham to help his recovery from a knee injury that kept him out for most of 2015.

Hyam has played 128 times and scored three goals for Ipswich since coming through the youth ranks.

He helped Ipswich finish seventh in the Championship this campaign.
