Dean Whitehead joined Huddersfield on a two-year deal last summer
Huddersfield Town midfielder Dean Whitehead has been given a three-match suspension for violent conduct by the Football Association.
The 34-year-old was charged after an incident involving Brentford midfielder Nico Yennaris in the 81st minute of Town's 5-1 home defeat on Saturday.
The ex-Sunderland, Stoke City and Middlesbrough man will now miss the first three games of next season.
He made 34 league appearances during the 2015-16 campaign.
