Luke Young: Torquay United midfielder agrees new contract

Torquay finished 18th in the National League in 2015-16, three points clear of the relegation zone

Torquay United midfielder Luke Young has signed a new contract of undisclosed length with the National League club.

The 23-year-old suffered a serious knee injury at the start of the season and was limited to eight league appearances for the Gulls in 2015-16.

"Luke was a big miss for us last season as he was injured for most of it," said player-manager Kevin Nicholson.

"We all saw when he came back into the team what a difference he can make."

Speaking to the club website, Nicholson added: "I think we've yet to see the best of Luke Young. It's very exciting to see what he'll be capable of."
