Cambridge United have signed midfielder George Maris and goalkeeper David Gregory on one-year contracts.

Maris, 20, was released by Barnsley this summer after playing four first-team games, and has had loan spells at Nuneaton, Guiseley and Lincoln.

Gregory, 21, came through the Crystal Palace academy and spent part of last season on loan at Leyton Orient before being released by the Eagles in May.

The pair join following the signing of winger Piero Mingoia on Thursday.
