League One side Charlton Athletic have signed former Gillingham, Brighton and Norwich midfielder Andrew Crofts on a one-year contract.

The 32-year-old Wales international was released by the Seagulls this summer after making 75 appearances during an injury-hit four-year spell at the Amex.

New Addicks boss Russell Slade previously signed Crofts in the summer of 2009 when manager of Brighton.

Crofts becomes Charlton's fifth signing of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Stephen Henderson has joined Nottingham Forest on a free transfer and fellow goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic has left The Valley for Spanish side AD Alcorcon.

Irishman Henderson, 28, played 54 games in two years with Charlton while Serbian Dmitrovic, 24, featured five times during an 18-month stint in south-east London.
