Only 12 days after giving birth, manager Kelly Chambers was in the stands to oversee Reading's draw with Notts County in Women's Super League 1.

Chambers returned to Adams Park following daughter Harley's birth, saying the Royals are "as important to me as everything else in my life".

Dani Buet's free-kick put Notts up at the break, with Emma Follis levelling after cutting in off the left.

Rebecca Jane blocked two late efforts on the line ensure a point for Reading.

Talking to BBC Radio Berkshire before the match, Chambers said she returned to work with the encouragement of her family.

"I have a fantastic support network around me, family that understand my job, understand my role and are happy to support me off the pitch as much as possible," she said.

"It's great because it will help me and the team."

Chambers has been involved with Reading Women since the club's inception, having captained the Royals before going on to manage the side, and is determined to continue to play a lead roll.

"I can't leave it alone," she said.

"I always give everything I have to the club. To see where it was to where it is now, and to be part of that and be a main drive behind that, I don't want to see any of that drop.

"I'll be in full flow with the girls because they are just as important to me as everything else in my life."
